Browser Requirements

Versions: Use version 5.5 or higher of Microsoft® Internet Explorer or 6.1 or higher of Netscape® Navigator as your Web browser.

Note: Netscape 4.7x users may experience difficulty viewing and printing some pages. We recommend upgrading your Netscape browser or using Internet Explorer while visiting CQ Press sites. Please visit http://www.microsoft.com or http://www.netscape.com to upgrade your browser, if necessary.

Cookies: Cookies are small portions of data that are sent to your PC when you are using this product. They are necessary for our access control features to work properly. If you check "Save Password" before logging in, a cookie will be permanently placed on your computer. The next time you visit the web site, you will be automatically logged in. To remove the cookie from your computer, click here. If you remove the permanent cookie, you will need to log in the next time you visit the web site.

To set your browser preferences to accept cookies in Microsoft® Internet Explorer 6.0:

  1. Select Tools, then Internet Options.
  2. Select the Privacy tab.
  3. The Privacy setting should be set to medium; if it is currently set to high, check with your IT department to determine whether you should change your setting to medium or override cookie handling for CQ Press web sites only.
  4. To change your privacy setting to medium for all web sites, move the slider down until it reaches the medium setting.
  5. To specify settings only for CQ Press web sites, click "Edit," type in the URL of the web site (http://csd.cqpress.com, http://fsd.cqpress.com, http://hssd.cqpress.com, or http://jsd.cqpress.com) and click "Allow."

To set your browser preferences to accept cookies in Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.x:

  1. Select Tools, then Internet Options.
  2. Select the Security tab.
  3. Select Internet as your Web content zone.
  4. If your security level is set to custom, click the custom level button; scroll down until you see "Cookies;" make sure "Allow per-session cookies" is checked.
  5. If your security is set to default level, you do not need to make any changes.

To set your browser preferences to accept cookies in Netscape® 7.x:

  1. Select Edit, then Preferences.
  2. Select Privacy & Security.
  3. Select "Enable cookies based on privacy settings."
  4. Select Medium as your privacy setting.
